Retired on the Lake! |

Retirement is great!
Since retiring we have purchased our dream property at Lake Keowee,
so we can enjoy the horses AND the water without the commute! We have downsized to just 3 show horses. Ronnie is showing the last homebred mare that we kept. "Lil" is by Reserve World Champion Gold Card Whiz out of Reserve World Champion One Tuf Muffin. He recently won the IO at Tryon with her, note the resulting grin picture! Sherry is showing a fancy Hollywood Tinseltown gelding, Heza Hollywood Gun, alias "Hollywood". They finished up 2018 with Top Tens in both Novice Non-Pro divisions, Two Southeast Affiliate Championships, and won the HDRHA/FRHA Saddle Series for Novice Horse Non-Pro.

Sherry has spent some time volunteering/fund raising for Wild Hearts Equine Therapy. We spent some time last spring having a blast at Rene and Jane Cairo's farm in Florida, familiarizing the ponies with farm creatures and playing cowboy/cowgirls. In August Sherry found what she hopes is another a "Special" mare...Miss Tinseltown Tari. A beautiful buckskin mare by Hollywood Tinseltown out of a Tari's catalyst mare. Thank you Gil Susman for taking your time with her, and Steven Marbry for putting the final touches on her. Looking forward to a great 2019! Tinsel has big shoes to fill. Our other "Special" mares were One Tuf Muffin (LTE 77K), Lil Juice (LTE 47K), Whata Dream (LTE 37K), and Sugarplum Muffin (LTE 25K).
Where are they now?
We have had some truly great horses, to show and breed. We are always happy to see the new owners succeed with horses from Plus One. Please share your pictures and we will be posting more in the future!
We are delighted that Brett and Paula Loeske purchased Lil Juice in December 2017 with LTE of almost 48K, to become part of their broodmare band. She is one of our all time favorite horses. Hubert Heule competed representing the Netherlands in the World Equestrian Games last September in Tryon! They flushed 4 embryos out of her due in 2019.
Gold Card Whiz is standing in Brazil with his own broodmare band... enjoying the good life!
Denise Schroeder is still competing with Sugarplum Muffin. "Minnie" was a blast to show and was sold several years ago when Ronnie was in a head on collision which altered our show/life plans that year. Good fortune for Denise as they have become a competitive force!
Elizabeth Cosper with Whata Dream, alias "LS", racked up several USEF championships, and is now retired at Monica Watson's Double Run Farm.
Ashley Borgard with CF Lets Get Rowdy. Ashley lent her mare to a friend who is now enjoying success in the show pen (waiting for new pics!)
Terri Harrah with Sugars Cielo...Won NRHA Green Reiner achievement jacket, and is now competing in Ranch Horse events!
Emma Holbrook with Starbucks Mocha was a NAAC Youth qualifier. She moved on to share showing Sheza Ruf Commander with her mom. Emma became NRHA Youth President and is now graduating OSU! She still has "Ruf" in the family broodmare band.
